Equtorial Guinea, Kevin: I was surprised to hear that men would hurt their own wives. The GDP per capita was also surprising too, and I agree with Kevin that it might encourage stealing and killing to get more money. I think that if this continues, Equtorial Guinea will not be a country for much longer.

Kuwait, Michael: It was very interesting to hear that Kuwait depended on a lot of things. It was shocking to hear that Kuwait depended on petroleum a lot. Kuwait depended on it so much, that 90% of the GDP per capita was from petroleum! It was also surprising to hear that Kuwait’s food was imported from other countries except for fish. I think Kuwait will face many problems also, unless they decide to find a different way to make money and get food.

Namibia, Hyun Ju: It was interesting to here that Namibia had a low population, which resulted to low birth rates. I do hope that Namibia will start to have a bigger population, but now what it needs is more people to decide to move in and an end to wars in that country.

Botswana, Elizabeth: It was surprising to hear that the age structure in Botswana was uneven. I did not hear that being mentioned in any other presentation. I agree that Botswana has a low infant mortality, but I’ve seen worse infant mortality rates though.

I hope that someday these countries will conquer their challenges (and any other challenges faced in any other country). When those problems are solved, hopefully, some countries won’t be as dangerous as it is now.
